Stupid politics

Yeah man. The bailout plan got rejected! Why? The real reason isn't stated but I bet it has everything to do with the upcoming presidential election.

As much as everyone detest the Wall Street CEOs earning millions every year, one has to bear in mind that the banks are essentially licenced moneylenders. The banks are the ones keeping the businesses going. Most businesses loan money from the banks to keep their cashflow going.

So what happens if the banks fail?? Normal people won't be affected?? Like real... Every single one of us will be affected, and you'll start seeing normal businesses going bankrupt because cashflows cannot be met.

Using an analogy, its like the relationship between a parent and a child. Sometimes when you know the child is wrong, you have to correct the child. Otherwise, it might have serious repercussions when the child grows up.

But in this case, I suspect that because of the upcoming election, the parent chose to listen to the child. How dire the consequence is? I think we will all see.

Another thing. What the heck are normal politicians voting on economic reforms?? Are they trained in economics in the first place?? Do they know what the heck they are voting for? Some of the weird things they recommend like changing the terms such that the principal of the loan is being reduced. You can do that when you have a budget surplus, not when you have the biggest budget deficit in the world.

Politics...
