Memorial Museum of Astronautics

I visited the Memorial Museum of Astronautics, also known as the Cosmonaut Museum, during my Russia trip. The museum is dedicated to space exploration, and contains a wide variety of space-related exhibits and models which explore the history of flight; astronomy; space exploration; space technology; and space in the arts. According to the Russian tourist board, the museum's collection holds approximately 85,000 different items. Below is a picture of the museum.

Flanking the 2 sides are engravings of people that seemingly look engaged in space exploration work, as shown below.

Walk down the steps in the middle and the museum is situated at the base of the monument. The entrance of the museum is as shown below. The tickets can be purchased somewhere to the left of the picture.

The entrance fee is 350 roubles, and you need to pay an additional 200 roubles if you wish to take photos within the museum. Do take note that the appearance is deceiving and the museum is actually quite big. I believe I spent close to 3 hours within the museum and I didn't take any photos within.
